Prosperity Health Program
Wellness planning is needed to ensure we are maintaining our physical vitality, fitness, and spirit throughout our lives. Empowering yourself to be well and stay well throughout life.
The prevention of disease is key. Develop a wellness program to assist you in maintaining an ideal weight. One main reason people aren’t able to maintain a permanent weight loss is that their metabolism is out of sync. Whether due to a stressful lifestyle or prescription drugs, your ability to burn the fuel is key to weight loss.
The other main reason people aren’t able to maintain a permanent weight loss is due to impulsive eating. Emotional eating (or recreational eating), is eating driven by emotional tension. Create a sustained wellness program and you will be better able to enjoy sustained energy.
Know the distinction between your appetite and your hunger. Hunger is a physical need for fuel. Appetite is emotional hunger, or mental hunger. If you are stressed or anxious, you accumulate aggravation. One of the ways to reduce your tension is to comfort yourself with food. As emotional tension accumulates, people turn to food to improve their moods.
Recognize when you are about to eat something. Then identify your emotion – lonely, bored, stressed, angry? Then express how you feel, and take alternative action. You will put an end to your emotional overeating if you practice these steps.
Smart foods work smarter for you rather than harder. What are smart foods? Foods that have metabolic simulating nutrients reprogram your metabolism to burn. Foods like broccoli and romaine lettuce. Proteins like lentils, peas, beans. All are good for reprogramming your metabolism, enabling long term weight loss.
A foundation of being well is what you are after, not a weight loss program. There is a science to creating lifestyle habits. Scientific permanent weight loss is not possible without a wellness program. Self awareness, nutrition, fitness, stress management will naturally enable you to get a handle on your weight loss goal.
Some simple rules of smart eating:
**Earn your meals. Be physically active.
**Say YES to hunger. Say NO to appetite.
**Never eat when you are stressed, emotional, or rushed.
The prevention is superior to the cure. A personal wellness program is a good investment in you.
